CHAPTER 00.5 · PORTRAIT

Built by Carleton.
Trained by markets.

Currently obsessed with what comes next.

01Engineer by training. Builder by obsession.

02I write less code than I used to, and ship more of it than ever.

03Permanent student of the machines I depend on.

— FOUR MACHINES, ONE LOOP —

CHAPTER 01

Agents.

I talk to machines that talk back.

Agents aren't tools — they're collaborators with opinions. I run a small fleet of them: some read markets, some triage code, some just keep me honest. This is what happens when you stop typing and start delegating.

CHAPTER 02

Vibe.

I don't write code. I conjure it.

Vibe coding isn't laziness — it's a different posture. You describe the shape of the thing, the machine fills in the syntax, and you keep the taste. Two hours, one personal site, zero hand-written HTML — and I still know exactly what every line does.

CHAPTER 03

Markets.

Permanently long on intelligence.

A long-only US equities system I run from a laptop. Core positions held with conviction, satellite trades sized by signal. No black boxes — every rule fits in my head, which is the only rule I trust.

CHAPTER 04

Compute.

Somewhere, a GPU is humming for me.

Every agent, every model, every backtest runs on someone's silicon. I'm increasingly interested in being that someone — or at least understanding the supply chain that makes intelligence cheap.

The Ravens never stopped working.
Neither do I.
